Shrimati Indira Gandhi College Trichy organized an On Campus Placement Drive in association with Integrated Enterprises India Private Limited on November 08, 2024. The drive was initiated with a pre-placement talk followed by a group discussion and finally with a personal interview. Final year students from various departments participated in the drive. 47 students got selected for the role of Relationship Manager as Financial Advisor / Customer Support for a salary package of 1.62 LPA.

Shrimati Indira Gandhi College successfully organized a Domain Skill Development training program in collaboration with Yardstick Academy, beginning on September 9th, 2024. The program was initiated by Dr. Murali Shankar, Founder & CEO of Yardstick Academy. It was designed for pre- final and final-year UG/PG students across various departments, including B.Com, BBM, B.Com CA, Maths, Physics, and MCA.

Participants engaged with a range of critical topics, such as Power BI, Quantitative Aptitude, Data Analytics, and Cloud – SQL Development, Python for ML hands on. These sessions were led by a team of skilled experts: Mr. Sathish, Mr. Santhosh Kumar, Mr. Yuvaraj, Mrs. VijayaShanthi, Ms. Priya, Ms. Sowmiya, Mr. Vijayakumar, and Mr. Dinesh Kumar from Yardstick Academy.

The program provided valuable practical experience and insights, significantly enhancing the students' skills and preparing them for their future academic and professional endeavors.

Shrimati Indira Gandhi College in association with Inlustro conducted Domain Skilll Development Program. The Program started on September 09, 2024 and spanned for 5 days. This course, aimed at first-year all IT majors & BBA , had a thorough curriculum covering theoretical and practical aspects. These sessions were conducted by expert trainers - Mr. Ramesh N, Mr. Dhiraj Kumar, Mrs. Swarna, Ms. Aswini, Mr. Gokulawasan, and Mr. Paul from Inlustro. The main subjects discussed included an overview of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), Networking and Fundamental Professional Skills. The participants obtained valuable knowledge and hands-on practice, greatly improving their skills for future academic and career pursuits.Approximately 338 students participated in the session and benefited from it.

Shrimati Indira Gandhi College Trichy organized a training on Domain skill development in collaboration with Learn to Upgrade. The Experts from Learn to Upgrade Mr. Baburao Vikram, Mrs. Razia, and Mrs. Vinitha B delivered a session on Clinical Research and Pharmacovigilalnce respectively on 04.09.2024 & 09.09.2024 at the J & D Classrooms. The training for Clinical research was spanned for 3 days and the the course Pharmacovigilance was spanned for 2 days for the Life Science Department Students. The Pre-Final Year UG/PG students from the departments of Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Microbiology participated in the program, with over 150 students benefiting from the training.

Both the session was spanned for 3 days. The program was attended UG final year students of B.A Economics and BBA and the pre-final & final year PG students of MSW, M.Sc. Hospital Admin and the Students from III B.Lit Tamil, III B.A.English, the pre-final & final year PG students of Commerce, Tamil were also gained knowledge from this session.

Kushal Sharma, and Corporate Trainer, Mrs. Amudha Athirai, delivered a session on AI & ML in their respective fields on 22.07.2024 at the MCA Lab. The program covered topics such as Introduction to AI & ML, different levels of Machine Learning, Deep Learning Fundamentals, AI Ethics & Bias Consideration, as well as various applications of AI & ML in their fields and future prospects. The training spanned over 3 days (22, 23, 26.07.2024) with the final day being conducted virtually. Final Year UG/PG students from the departments of Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Microbiology participated in the program, with over 180 students benefiting from the training.

Shrimati Indira Gandhi College in association with Hitakey Tech conducted Value added training for the pre-final years UG of various departments. There are two predetermined groups. The initial session began on 08.07.2024 and lasted for 5 days, followed by the subsequent session starting on 15.07.2024 which also lasted 5 days. The pre-final year students from different departments participated in the Training Program. 392 students participated in the certification program, which predominantly covered topics such as Financial Modeling, Project Handling, Investment Banking, Generative AI, Business Analytics, Agile & Scrum Project Management, and Video Editing for Film Making. The students greatly benefitted from this training that added value to their learning.

Shrimati Indira Gandhi College in association with Shankar IAS Acadmy conducted a program for UPSC Readiness on 05.07.2024. Mr. A. Ramesh Aditya, Head -Strategy initiated the program and Dr.R. Shruthi – Faculty for Polity & Development Administration addressed the students for the competitive exams regarding UPSC, TNPSC Grade 1 &2 and SSC. The program focused on the exam patterns, syllabus, fundamentals of UPSC and how to do practice test and to crack the exam. The resource person further discussed the portfolio/ levels in civil service examination. The Final year students of various department attended the session and got benefited.

City Union Bank Placement drive held on 28.06.2024 at our campus for the final year students of UG /PG majors of Arts, Science and MBA. The drive initiated with a pre placement talk by Mr.Kishore- HR Coordinator followed by Descriptive test for assessment cleared students through online. Finally Personal Interview was conducted by Panel of Members from Recruitment Division. A total number of 21 students attended the drive of which around 6 students got selected for the role of Relationship Manager I & II Cadre.

IDFC First Bharat Bank placement drive held on 24/05/2024 at our campus for UG/PG Students of various departments including MBA. The drive initiated with a pre placement talk by Mr.Anburaj-Regional Recruitment Manager and Ms.Anitha Princy.A- HR Assistant and followed by face to face interview. The interview was conducted by the 2 recruiters. A total number of 25 students attended the drive, after the interview rounds a total 12 students got selected for the role of Relationship Manager and received the confirmation letter.
