Freshers' Day Induction Programme

Shrimati Indira Gandhi College warmly welcomed its first-year students through the Freshers' Induction Programme – 'Acham Thavir' on 16.07.2026. The event was graced by renowned Tamil Poet, Lyricist, and Orator Thiru. Nellai Jayantha as the Chief Guest, in the esteemed presence of Shri K. Chandrasekharan, Chief Executive Officer, Smt. S. Aparna, Director, and Dr. P. Gajalakshmi, Principal. The programme marked the beginning of an inspiring academic journey for the new entrants.

Addressing the students, the dignitaries encouraged them to embrace learning with confidence, develop their skills, pursue excellence, and overcome fear with determination. The Chief Guest's motivational speech emphasized goal-setting, time management, and personal well-being, inspiring students to make the most of their college life.
