The Department of Commerce was started in the year 1984. It is one of the very first departments started in the college. Subsequently M.Com was started in 1987, M.Phil in 2005, B.Com C.A in 2010 and Ph.D in 2013. There are 23 teachers in our department, of which 5 are doctorates and 5 are qualified with NET/SET. We have produced 5 doctorates. One of our teachers is a professional and has completed ICWAI.

Ms.R.Vani, Asst Prof in Commerce published a book named “Strategic Management” in 2018.
